Domino Lapel Pins

A couple of new lapel pins using Domino's.  The first couple use Designer Series Paper on the bottom and covered with vintage buttons.  The last is stamped with a retired stamp set and then covered with Crystal Effects to seal.

New Necklace Design

This necklace is made using a large washer from the hardware store and covered with Designer Series Paper, wrapped in wire with a few rhinestones to add bling and sparkle.  I also covered the entire thing in Crystal Effects to seal and protect the surface.

Baby Shower Card

This is a card made for a baby shower.  The Mom to Be doesn’t know what she’s having so I kept it gender neutral with Crumb cake, certainly celery and Whisper white.  The ribbon is from the clearance rack.  Had to stock up on tons of ribbon at those prices. Enjoy and Happy Stampin’

Paper Crafters Sampler

How Fun - I've been asked to be part of the design team for a really fun sharing site called Paper Crafters Sampler.   The website is open to anyone wanting to share their 'hand-made' artwork, be it cards, altered art, fabric art, paintings and more.
You also have the option of a monthly subscription sampler that gives you gorgeous ideas and access to other crafters to share your ideas and ask questions etc.  Click on the link to the right to check it out.  Starting in January I will be posting monthly samples.  Not sure if I can compete with the beautiful work of the other design team members that I've seen, but I'm going to give it a shot!  Wish me luck.

Pearl and Silver Necklace, Earrings and Bracelet Set

This Set almost has a vintage appeal.  It's very sparkly in person.  The necklace is a double strand adjustable length.  20-23" in length.  It would be perfect for a holiday party or to dress up a casual outfit.  There are three different earrings that coordinate with the set and give a different look.  All five pieces priced at $45.

The darker beads are very interesting.  They go from a bluish tint to almost black and they will pick up the hue of whatever clothing you are wearing.  So they would look good with jeans and a white shirt for a night out at the movies or with a beautiful black dress for a night on the town.

Vintage Inspired Altered Tin

A co-worker gave me this tin to "recycle" and this is what I came up with.  I used the Deck the Halls DSP from the Holiday Mini.  LOVE that paper.  I used Crystal Effects to adhere the main pattern to the tin and smoothed it out with the bone folder to get rid of any air bubbles.

The bottom of the tin got a coordinating sheet from the same DSP pack.  The top of the tin has a stip of 1/4" grosgrain old olive ribbon and then I added the Basic Pearls all around the edge.

The image is from the Artistic Etchings set.  I Stamped the Effiel tower in Early Expresso.  Then used the round graphic image all over the background in Crumb Cake.  I took the Crown and the Key stamps and stamped randomly in Old Olive.  The edges were sponged with chocolate chip and then I dabbed it in little splotches to make it even more vintage.  What really blended the whole thing together is a top coat of Modge-Podge glue.  It blended the colors and really gave it the vintage look I was going after.  As a finishing touch I used the Photo Corner punch and popped them with dimensionals and added the smallest Basic pearls.  Fill with jewelry, candy or other small gifts and it becomes an amazing gift box.  Or simply set it out on a dresser filled with odds n ends.  Enjoy!

Christmas Cards

Couple of new designs that I'm going to be using in a class.

These are very simple but elegant designs.  The first is Pear Pizazz for the base.  I made a 3x3 square out of always artichoke and then a 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 square out of Cherry Cobbler.  I ran the Cobbler through the big shot with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.  Then the ornament is stamped from the Tags Til Christmas set using Cherry Cobbler and Pear Pizzazz Ink.  The ribbon is Pear Pizzazz with an Old Olive retired brad popped up with dimensionals.

The Cardinal Card is Crumb Cake for the base.  Then I ran it through the big shot and the polk dot embossing folder.  I can't remember the punch off hand - but I used the Vintage Christmas Designer Series Paper  - cut out one.  Then cut out one with Very Vanilla.  Cut off the ends and adhere to the back of the DSP.  The cardinal is made with the Two step bird punch.  I cut an extra bird wing and snipped off just the top part and added it to the birds head to create the cardinal.   The Bird is Cherry Cobbler and then I used the basic black marker and just drew a squiggly line and filled it in with black.

Custom Necklace and Earrings

It's hard to really see the detail on this.  But it was a special custom request from a co-worker to give to his wife for Christmas.  They have 2 black Scotties and 1 white Westie - So I found the Terrier charms and added 2 black rhinestones and 1 crystal rhinestone on the dogs collar to represent their pets.  I then packaged it all up in one of my custom gift boxes.  He loved it and thinks his wife will too.  Can't wait til after Christmas to hear about the response.
Here it is all packaged up and ready to go.
I even had an extra charm so I made a little key ring to go with it.  Hope she likes this truly one-of-a-kind gift.

Here's the set all together. The necklace is chrystal beads that really sparkle. The total price for the set including the packaging was $40.

Vintage Tile Coasters

Vintage tile coasters.  I went to the local hardware store and found some rustic tiles and used the following stampsets.  Top far left corner I used the Medallion stamp.  The top right corner is the Autumn days set and the bottom center is the Artistic etchings set.  Set of 4 coasters sell for $10 and make a fantastic Christmas, Birthday or hostess gift.

Party Favors/Stocking Stuffers

These are soooo cute and easy for party favors, stocking stuffers and great for kids to use for school parties etc.

The cello bags are from clearbags.com and are 1x8 in size.  The stamp set is retired but you can use any greeting you like.  I found the Chocolate gems in the bulk candy aisle and was able to buy them in seperate colors making it easy to create the candy cane effect.  These are so cute in fall colors for Thanksgiving, Green for St. Patty's day or match them up for any occasion.  I sent them for both of my older boys to give to their school classmates during their "Harvest Party" and they were just beautiful in the fall jewel tones.

Kid Picts

My little destroyer playing and trying to mutilate his watermelon.

We had a lot of fun playing at the park.  My oldest son wouldn't let me get his picture, but at least I got the younger two.

Tiger Necklace

I've just had so much fun making these Domino Pendant Necklaces.  Here is another style with a lot more Bling.  But I LOVE big chunky necklaces - so this is right up my alley.   I'm selling similar styles at Hillier Studios on Dixie Highway in Bridgeport, but I can make custom styles as well.  Just shoot me an email with the colors and style requirement and I will price it out for you.  I'm going to be experimenting with some new stuff soon and hope to have those posted in the next couple of weeks.

Owl Punch - Penguin Card

I want to show you just how versatile this punch is, by using it to create a super cute Christmas Card.
Check out these adorable Penguins. It uses the same Owl punch - Just trim off the "horns" and you have an adorable penguin. Punch the main body out of black (cut off the feet) Cut another out of orange, trim of the bottom 1/4 and glue to the back. Use one of the orange "horns" that you cut off as the nose for the penguin. And punch the eyes and vest out of Whisper White.
This card uses Marina Mist as the base. Then taking Whisper White, tear the edges to get the look of snow or ice. I used a sponge and Bashful Blue ink to ink the edges for more defenition, ran a line of glue along the torn edge using the two-way glue pen and added some glitter.
The snowflakes are from a retired set, but any snowflakes will work - I added glitter to those as well.
The sentiment is Whisper White punched out of the wide oval punch and inked around the edges for definition and 2 of the scalloped oval punches were glued behind it. I also used the really cool new flat-backed rhinestones available in the new catalog for just a touch of bling.
Let me know if you are interested in any of the products mentioned and I will place an order for you.

Happy Stampin'!

Owl's Owl's and More Owl's

LOVE the new Owl punch.  It is so fun.  It's just like paper piecing for scrapbookers (where you take shapes and create new items) but it's all contained in one fantastic punch.  You can create birthday's, wedding, Thanks you's etc.  It's really unlimited.
