Santa's got a brand new bag ... Sort of

The three projects show here are for a Santa's Workshop event I'm having in November.  They are very easy projects but are fantastic to give away to co-workers, friends or family when you just need a "little" something.
Christmas card:  Whisper white cardstock with  Old olive ribbon.  I used the wide oval punch and the Christmas punches hostess set for the Christmas greeting.  I used certainly celery cardstock with old olive stamp pad.  The designer series paper is the Merry Moments from the 09/10 idea book.
Treat Bag:  I used the medium cellophane bag and cut out a Top Note die using the Big Shot out of the Merry Moments designer series paper.  The greeting was from the Christmas punches hostess set and stamped with real red stamp pad.  It would punch out perfectly using the scallop oval punch but I don't have that one yet so I just cut it out by hand.

Christmas Wreath

These two cards are using the Autumn days stamp set and layering three colors in a circle to create the wreath effect.

Elves with Christmas Tree

This is a much more whimsical card then I normally do.  But I've been having so much fun creating things using the variety of punches available through Stampin' Up!   This one uses the scallop circle punch to create the tree.   The elves are made with the ornament punch from the holiday mini catalog and the body is out of the tag punch.

Country Morning Rooster

This is a great little stamp from the Country Morning hostess set.  I used a masking technique around the edges and just kept stamping till I got what I wanted.  I also cut out a "stencil" from the square scallop punch and inked inside the cutout.  The wheat and the leaves stamps are from the Autumn days stamp set.

Another Fall Card

This background is a technique using sponges and ink.  I used more mustard on the top third, then blended in pumpkin pie and  real rust for the middle third, then the bottom third is old olive.  I just kept blending till I got the look and texture that I wanted.  I used close to cocoa for the lovely as a tree stamp.  For the final step I used the close to cocoa to ink around the edges and then put the image on crushed curry cardstock for the base of my card.

Fall Cards

This is beautiful fall card with a certainly celery base, topped with chocolate chip.  Then I used the Lovely as a Tree stamp set to create a background on very vanilla card stock.  I used old olive, more mustard and dusty durango stamp pads.  The leaves are die cuts and I finished it off with hemp twine.  Simply but pretty.

This next one is a dusty durango card base.  The background paper is whisper white with stamped leaves from the holiday blitz stamp set - I used all of the in-colors.  Then I crumpled the paper to give it texture and sponged chocolate chip over the top to give it even more dimension.  The tags are from the modern label punch.  I finished it with 2 of the die cut leaves wrapped with the hemp twine.

The final card is a dusty durango base - with a whisper white card stock stamped all over with the oak leaves from the Lovely As a Tree Stamp set.  Again using the old olive, more mustard and dusty durango.  I added a little bling in the corner with the modern label punch and three of the circle fire rhinestone brads.

Conner and Bryce's Birthday Cake

This has nothing to do with stamping, but had to post the fun cake I made for Conner's 9th and Bryce's 6th birthday party.  Conner is so into football right now, we just had to make a football field cake.  Including marshmellow "players", football mini cupcakes, and popsickle stick goal posts.

Three Card Folder

This is a very simple folder that will hold three cards on one side and three envelopes on the other.  Start with an 8 1/2 by 10 card stock.  Score at 6 inches on the 8 1/2 inch side and score at 4 3/4 and 5 1/4 on the 10 inch side.  Fold it up and use the bone folder to make nice creases on all the score lines.  I used the card stock and designer series paper from the simply scrappin kit "Petal Party"
It uses old olive, so saffron, pumpkin pie and pixie pink.  Here is a picture of the outside, the inside and all three cards.

For additional directions drop me a line to host your own private class to learn how to make it.

Halloween Spiders

These spiders aren't scary - They are so stinkin cute!  Made with 2 scallop circles punched out and the photo corner punch punched out 8 times.  4 on the front circle and 4 on the back.  And then I used a York Peppermint Patty in the middle as the body..

LOVE IT!

The bottom picture is a medium sized cellophane bag with a topper.  I used the hostess set for the trick or treat.  Another great color combination would be black and green or black and orange.
