The NEW 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalogs are here.  (Well technically - UPS will deliver them at some point today.)  But I can't wait to get them into your hands.  There are some fabulous new products and I will be posting project ideas soon.

The book is filled with ideas.  And the ideas aren't just for the card maker or scrapbooker.  If you are a quilter or just a general crafter you can find numerous ways to incorporate the Stampin' Up! products into your project.  I use the products for my own card making, but I also use it for jewelry making and have such a great time finding new creative uses.

Handmade Charm Necklaces

I've been concentrating on the domino pendant necklaces, but wanted to try something with beads as well.  These are my first three attempts.  I've learned a few things and will do some things differently, but am fairly pleased with how they came how.  The charms are made using the hodgepodge hardware from Stampin' Up.  I stamped the images and then used Chrystal effects to "glue" them into the hardware and create the polished surface.  I have a few more that I plan on trying over the next few weeks and will post those as soon as I can.  I'm currently in love with turquiose so that will be the next bead necklace that I do.

Would love to hear your comments or suggestions to make them better.

Pendants for Sugarhigh Bakery

I'm testing the idea of having my pendants in some local stores.  Sugarhigh Bakery in the Frankenmuth Riverplace had some specific requirements.  They had to be black, white, pink and silver and either cupcakes or brocade.  This is the first set of 6 that I came up with.

I also need to come up with some "cupcake" themed greeting cards and favor boxes to see if those will sell.  I can't wait to see which designs will be "big" sellers.

The Hummingbird further down the page has been sold, but if you like it, I can duplicate it.  All pendants are handmade so there will be variations from necklace to necklace and each one is "one-of-a-kind"

Domino Pendant Necklaces

I have been doing a lot of these new "Domino" necklace pendants.  I'm going to start selling them at a local boutique (Hillier Studio in Bridgeport) for $15.  They have been so fun and I'm learning new tricks all the time to make them even better.  I have a few new techniques that I want to try and will post those as soon as I can.

I will also be doing private classes for groups of 5 or more to make your own necklaces.  Class fee is $15 and then $10 for each additional necklace you make.
