Scallop Envelop Box

It's day two of the Spring Blog Tour.  Welcome back.  Today I want to show you a cute little basket made out of the Bigz scallop envelop die.  (This is not an original idea - Just can't remember who I saw it from first).  It would be perfect as a hostess gift filled with candy or a small stamp and stampin spot. This is a very simple design, but you could add lots of embellishments to make it shine.

Cardstock:  Bermuda Bay, Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper
Accessories:  Bigz scallop envelop die, boho blossoms punch, scallop circle punch and pink epoxy brads from the occassions mini.

Directions:  Die cut 4 envelopes.  Cut one of the small side tabs off of each envelop.  Using sticky strip - adhere the side tabs to each other all the way around until you have a box.  Tuck up the bottom and use sticky strip.  You will have a very small opening in the center.  You could cut a small square and put into the bottom or just leave it as is.  I used the scallop circle and boho blossoms punches to create the flower in the center and then added the pink epoxy brad.  I have also seen these with handles to make a basket.  Very cute and easy.

This is a fun punch art bunny and basket for Easter.  It's using a variety of punches:  1 3/4' circle, 1 3/8' circle, 1/2' circle.  For his ears I used the scallop oval and the large oval.  His nose is the pink courderoy button from the occasions mini.  The basket is using the tags punch for the body and the scallop oval and large oval for the handle.  I did run the paper through the big shot using the texture plates to get the basket weave effect.  The eggs are the 1/2' circle punch.

Grass is just hand cut and I sponged bashful blue for the sky before adhering the bunny and basket.  Hoppy Easter everyone!
